What is Amazon Subscribe & Save?

Amazon Subscribe & Save is a handy program that will allow you to set up automatic deliveries on the items you use most and enjoy a discount for doing so. You can schedule deliveries to happen from every 2 weeks to as long as every six months on thousands of eligible products. You can even set different items to different schedules.

The part Amazon shoppers love most about this program is that the items that you Subscribe & Save automatically qualify for a 5% discount. But to get the MOST savings with Subscribe & Save, you will want to schedule at least 5 items for regular delivery so that you will get an extra 15% off your entire order. (That’s five subscriptions in a single month to a single address with auto-deliveries.) Now that’s a savings that will add up!

There is NO commitment with Subscribe & Save. Once you subscribe for an item, you can cancel or skip your deliveries at ANY time. Just log in to your account to make the changes…even if it’s after just one month!

Is Shipping Free with Subscribe & Save?

Everyone still receives free standard shipping on auto-deliveries. Still, a recent change in the policy now requires non-Prime members to have at least $25 of qualifying products in their order to receive free shipping on their first delivery. This is only on the first – subsequent deliveries will ship for free. You can read about that recent change on the Amazon website.

How Soon Can You Cancel Subscribe & Save Orders?

You can cancel or skip your deliveries at ANY time by logging into your account…even after just one month! It is recommended that you make sure your initial Subscribe & Save order has shipped. From there, you can adjust as you see fit.

It’s good to note that you will receive an email each month before your items ship letting you know what will be in that month’s delivery. That’s the perfect reminder for you to check to see if you’re still in need of those items or if you will need to add any fillers to your order.

How Can You Save Money with Subscribe & Save?

Items that you Subscribe & Save automatically qualify for a 5% discount, but to get the most savings with Subscribe & Save, you will want to schedule at least 5 items for regular delivery so that you will get an extra 15% off your entire order.

You will also want to be on the lookout for digital coupons. Clip those for even more savings on the items your family uses most.

A Few Things to Note About Subscribe & Save

The item price and any applicable discount for your order is calculated before your reminder email. The price of the item may decrease or increase between deliveries, but will never be higher than the price shown in your reminder email.

You can't pay for Subscribe & Save subscriptions with an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), because a PIN identification is required before each purchase. However, if you do have an EBT card, you may qualify to receive 53% off the cost of an Amazon Prime EBT membership. If you don't yet have an Amazon Prime account, you can try it risk-free for 30 days with their Prime 30-Day Trial
